Andhra Pradesh has set a target to ground 80% of its approved energy projects by the end of October as the state accelerates implementation of its ₹4.10 lakh crore clean-energy investment pipeline.
The investment programme covers 93 projects across multiple clean-energy technologies. District collectors have been directed to remove implementation bottlenecks, coordinate with developers and speed up the grounding of approved projects.
The pipeline includes 25.58 GW of solar power capacity, 5.78 GW of wind power and 18.95 GW of pumped-storage capacity. It also covers 2.2 MMTPA of green hydrogen and derivatives, 2 GW of electrolyser manufacturing capacity and 11,497 tonnes per day of compressed biogas capacity.
Of the projects allotted land since June 2024, 33 have reached the grounding or commissioning stage, while another 54 require faster action to move forward. Land acquisition has been completed for 38 projects.
Authorities have been asked to work closely with project developers and NREDCAP nodal officers to resolve challenges that could delay implementation. Key issues include land availability, transmission corridors, road connectivity, water pipelines and right-of-way requirements.
The state’s clean-energy pipeline reflects investment across a diverse mix of renewable and emerging energy technologies, including solar, wind, pumped storage, green hydrogen, electrolysers and compressed biogas.
By accelerating project execution, Andhra Pradesh aims to convert committed investments into operational energy assets while strengthening its renewable energy infrastructure.
The projects are also expected to support employment generation and economic activity as the state expands its clean-energy ecosystem and attracts investment across renewable power, energy storage and green fuels.
