Building Aatmanirbhar Bharat: Powering India’s Solar Future

Jakson Group has inaugurated the first phase of its ambitious ₹28,000-crore plan to set up a 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh.

The foundation stone for Phase 1 was laid by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and includes the establishment of 3 GW solar cell and 4 GW solar module production with an investment of ₹2,000 crore. This phase alone is expected to generate 1,700 jobs, while the complete project will provide 4,000 employment opportunities over the next three years.

The fully operational facility will host 6 GW each of ingot, wafer, cell, and module production, significantly boosting India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem. Chief Minister Yadav highlighted that the Maksi-based hub will position Madhya Pradesh as a major centre for clean energy logistics and manufacturing, supporting India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision.

Jakson Group Chairman Sameer Gupta emphasized that the project will enhance India’s technological self-reliance in renewable energy, creating a sustainable and globally competitive solar manufacturing base.
