Pace Digitek shares surged 13.2% to ₹175.37 on Tuesday after its material subsidiary, Lineage Power Private Limited (LPPL), secured a ₹488.46-crore Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) order from NTPC GE Power Services.

The order is linked to the Barh Super Thermal Power Project in Bihar and strengthens Pace Digitek’s presence across the battery energy storage value chain.

Under the contract, LPPL will undertake the supply and testing of BESS containers along with supervision of erection and commissioning activities.

The scope of work also covers Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS), which are key components for monitoring, controlling and optimising battery storage operations.

In addition to equipment supply and commissioning support, the contract includes five years of annual maintenance services. It also provides a seven-year extended warranty for the battery containers.

The project is scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2026.

The latest contract comes as Pace Digitek continues to expand its battery energy storage manufacturing capabilities. According to the company, its BESS manufacturing capacity has increased from 2.5 GWh in 2025 to 5 GWh.

Pace Digitek plans to further expand this capacity to 10 GWh by the third quarter of FY2027, reflecting its focus on capturing opportunities in India’s growing energy-storage market.

The company has already delivered BESS containers representing more than 1.5 GWh of storage capacity.

Beyond large-scale energy projects, Pace Digitek is also exploring opportunities for battery storage solutions across commercial and industrial applications.

The ₹488.46-crore NTPC-linked order adds to the company’s project portfolio as battery energy storage becomes increasingly important for power-system flexibility, renewable-energy integration and reliable electricity infrastructure.
