S&P Global Energy to Bring 200+ Leaders Together for India’s Clean Energy Push

S&P Global Energy will host Horizons Clean Energy Expansion India 2026 on September 24–25 in New Delhi, bringing together more than 200 policymakers, industry leaders and clean-energy experts.

The two-day conference will focus on practical strategies for accelerating India’s clean-energy transition while examining the technologies, infrastructure, investment and policies required to scale the country’s emerging energy ecosystem.

Previously known as World Hydrogen India, the conference has expanded its scope beyond hydrogen to reflect the growing connections between different parts of the clean-energy economy.

The event will cover renewable power, green hydrogen, industrial decarbonisation, infrastructure, shipping, mobility, manufacturing, investment and international trade.

Green hydrogen will remain one of the key areas of discussion. As of February 2026, around 8,000 metric tonnes per year of green hydrogen production capacity had been commissioned in India.

This remains relatively small compared with India’s target of developing at least 5 million metric tonnes per year of green hydrogen production capacity by 2030, highlighting the scale of development required over the coming years.

The conference is expected to provide a platform for policymakers, investors, technology providers, project developers and other industry stakeholders to discuss how clean-energy projects can move from planning to large-scale implementation.

Investment and financing will be another important theme as India seeks substantial capital for renewable power generation, green hydrogen production, manufacturing capacity and supporting infrastructure.

Discussions are also expected to examine the role of technology, supply chains and policy frameworks in creating a competitive domestic clean-energy industry while strengthening India’s participation in international energy and trade markets.

By bringing together more than 200 stakeholders, Horizons Clean Energy Expansion India 2026 aims to facilitate discussions around the next phase of India’s energy transition and the development of a broader clean-energy economy.
