Tata Power Solaroof has crossed the milestone of 5 lakh rooftop solar installations across India, strengthening its presence in the country’s rapidly expanding rooftop solar market.
As of July 31, 2026, the company had achieved 5,19,673 rooftop solar installations and secured around 14% market share. The milestone reflects growing adoption of rooftop solar systems among residential, commercial and industrial consumers seeking cleaner energy and lower electricity costs.
The company has also facilitated more than ₹8,500 crore in solar financing through a network of over 25 financing partners, helping customers access funding options for rooftop solar installations.
Part of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd, Tata Power Solaroof operates through a nationwide network of more than 700 channel partners and 250 authorised service partners. This network enables the company to provide solar solutions and after-sales services to customers across different regions of India.
Tata Power Solaroof is now targeting 30 lakh rooftop solar installations by 2029. The expansion comes as demand for renewable energy continues to rise among households and businesses looking to reduce their dependence on conventional electricity sources.
Its rooftop solar offering includes high-efficiency solar modules, long-term performance warranties, financing options, insurance and after-sales support, providing customers with an integrated solar solution.
The company is also supporting India’s rooftop solar expansion through its ‘Ghar Ghar Solar’ initiative, aligned with the government’s PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
With rooftop solar gaining momentum across India, Tata Power Solaroof’s latest milestone highlights the increasing role of distributed renewable energy in reducing electricity costs and supporting the country’s clean-energy transition.
