Waaree Energies shares gained 1.71% to ₹2,541.80 during Tuesday’s trading session after the company announced that it had secured a 2 GW solar module supply order from a leading domestic solar developer.

The order was received on September 21, 2026, and is scheduled to be executed through deliveries across FY27 and FY28.

According to Waaree Energies’ exchange filing, the contract is a one-time order for the supply of 2 GW of solar photovoltaic modules. The company has not disclosed the commercial value of the agreement.

Waaree Energies also clarified that neither its promoter group nor any of its group companies has an interest in the customer awarding the contract.

The company further stated that the transaction does not qualify as a related-party transaction.

The latest order strengthens Waaree Energies’ order visibility as demand for solar modules and renewable-energy infrastructure continues to expand across India.

Large-scale solar capacity additions, domestic manufacturing initiatives and growing investments in renewable-energy projects are supporting demand for photovoltaic modules across the country.

The 2 GW supply agreement provides Waaree Energies with additional delivery commitments across FY27 and FY28 and adds to its position in India’s solar manufacturing sector.

Waaree Energies has a market capitalisation of approximately ₹72,747 crore, according to the data provided.

Despite Tuesday’s gain, the company’s shares were down around 6% over the preceding month and nearly 26% over the preceding year, based on the supplied market data.

The latest contract adds to investor attention around Waaree Energies as the company continues to participate in India’s expanding solar manufacturing and renewable-energy market.
