Bajel Projects has secured two international engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts worth over ₹400 crore for the construction of contiguous sections of 500 kV overhead transmission lines in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The twin orders represent a significant milestone in the company’s strategy to expand its international transmission infrastructure portfolio and deepen its presence in high-growth global energy markets. The projects involve high-voltage transmission corridors critical for strengthening grid reliability and supporting rising power demand across the region.
Commenting on the development, Rajesh Ganesh said the new contracts reinforce Bajel Projects’ growing presence in the MENA region and reflect international confidence in the company’s engineering expertise, project execution capability, and commitment to quality and safety standards.
He noted that securing a 500 kV transmission corridor highlights the company’s capability to deliver technically complex and large-scale power infrastructure projects in overseas markets.
The latest contracts build on Bajel Projects’ growing regional footprint, including its 50:50 joint venture with Al Sharif Group in Saudi Arabia. This strategic partnership has strengthened the company’s market access and operational capabilities in the region, positioning it for further expansion in the MENA transmission infrastructure sector.
With rising investments in grid modernisation, renewable energy integration, and power infrastructure upgrades across the Middle East and North Africa, Bajel Projects is strategically placed to capture future opportunities and strengthen its position as a global EPC player in high-voltage transmission systems.
