Pioneering India’s Renewable Future with Integrated Solar and Storage Innovation
ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has won a 450 MW/1,800 MWh firm and dispatchable renewable energy project from SJVN, awarded at a tariff of ₹2.675 per unit for 25 years. The project was secured through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB), with the e-reverse auction held on October 9, 2025, and the Letter of Award (LoA) issued on November 10, 2025.
This landmark project combines 300 MW of solar capacity with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) of 1,800 MWh, ensuring round-the-clock renewable power delivery — a crucial step toward India’s goal of achieving firm and flexible green energy supply.
The facility will be ACME Solar’s first project to use Indian-made solar cells under the ALMM List-II, located in the high irradiation zones of Rajasthan. The combination of domestic technology, strategic siting, and advanced storage integration highlights ACME’s commitment to India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat and energy security goals.
Rahula Kashyapa, Chief Commercial Officer of ACME Solar, emphasized that leveraging night-time grid connectivity enables early revenue generation and optimal transmission utilization, showcasing the company’s innovative approach to hybrid energy solutions.
With an operational capacity of 2,918 MW and 4,472 MW under construction, ACME Solar continues to drive India’s renewable transformation with integrated, dispatchable, and cost-efficient energy systems.
