Fujiyama Commissions 2,000 MW Solar Panel Manufacturing Plant at Ratlam

Fujiyama Power Systems has commissioned a 2,000 MW solar panel manufacturing facility at Ratlam, strengthening its position in India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy manufacturing sector.

The greenfield project has been developed with planned capacities of 2,000 MW each for solar panels, batteries, and inverters, supporting the company’s strategy to build integrated solar manufacturing capabilities and improve value-chain efficiency.

Initially, the Ratlam facility will operate at an annualised production capacity of around 1,000 MW under single-shift operations. Fujiyama plans to gradually ramp up to double-shift operations, targeting full capacity utilisation by the fourth quarter of FY27.

Following the commissioning, the company’s total solar panel manufacturing capacity has increased to 3,568 MW.

Commenting on the development, Pawan Kumar Garg, Chairman and Joint Managing Director, said the expansion will help the company cater to the rapidly growing domestic rooftop solar market through enhanced manufacturing scale, operational efficiencies, and stronger control over the supply chain.

The company also stated that the commissioning timelines for its inverter and battery manufacturing lines have been impacted by technology upgrades and global supply chain challenges.

The expansion comes amid rising demand for rooftop solar solutions in India, supported by government initiatives such as the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and increasing investments in domestic renewable energy manufacturing.
