Inox Wind Ltd (IWL) has signed an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KP Energy Ltd to jointly develop 2.5 GW of wind and wind–solar hybrid renewable-energy projects across multiple Indian states.
Under the collaboration, Inox Wind and its subsidiaries will supply wind turbine generators, deliver engineering expertise, and manage pre-commissioning, commissioning, and O&M services for the turbine systems.
According to Kailash Tarachandani, Group CEO – Renewables at INOXGFL Group, the strategic partnership brings together Inox Wind’s manufacturing and engineering capabilities with KP Energy’s strong on-ground project development strengths. This synergy will enable both companies to capture large-scale clean-energy opportunities across India.
KP Energy will be responsible for land acquisition, right-of-way management, power-evacuation connectivity, statutory approvals, and complete balance-of-plant EPC execution, along with O&M of related infrastructure.
Faruk G. Patel, Managing Director of KP Energy, stated that the alliance enhances their ability to offer integrated renewable assets and supports India's national renewable-energy targets.
Both companies expect the partnership to accelerate project execution timelines and significantly strengthen their position in the renewable-energy value chain.
