Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav underscored renewable energy as the cornerstone of the state’s long-term development strategy during a roundtable discussion at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. Attending his first WEF meeting, the Chief Minister emphasised that clean, affordable and reliable energy is vital for Madhya Pradesh’s inclusive and sustainable growth.
He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for accelerating India’s and Madhya Pradesh’s transition towards green energy and highlighted how improved inter-state coordination has strengthened power and water stability for both consumers and industries. Yadav also shared updates on ongoing and upcoming solar power and energy storage projects across the state.
Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Joshi reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to policy stability, describing Madhya Pradesh as a reform-oriented state whose solar energy achievements merit global recognition. He noted the state’s success in de-risking renewable energy investments through coordinated land, labour and power policies.
The roundtable further discussed a draft framework aimed at attracting private investment, with global investors seeking clarity on long-term policies, availability of green power and emerging technologies such as data centres.
