Oswal Pumps Ltd Wins ₹162 Crore Maharashtra Solar Pump Order Under PM-KUSUM

Oswal Pumps Ltd has secured a ₹162.06 crore contract from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply and installation of off-grid solar water pumping systems under the PM-KUSUM B component, also known as the “Magel Tyala Saur Krishi Pump” Yojana.

The project involves the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of 6,869 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across Maharashtra. The systems will be deployed in capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP to support irrigation and agricultural energy requirements.

In addition to installation, the contract includes a comprehensive five-year warranty, repair and maintenance services, and remote monitoring system (RMS) support to ensure long-term operational efficiency and performance monitoring.

The company has been given a timeline of 60 days from the notice to proceed for completing the installations, highlighting the project’s fast-track execution framework.

Commenting on the development, Vivek Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of Oswal Pumps Ltd, said the order reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting India’s agricultural energy self-sufficiency goals through reliable and farmer-focused solar infrastructure.

The order strengthens Oswal Pumps’ position in India’s rural solar infrastructure market and aligns with the broader objectives of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s PM-KUSUM scheme, which aims to promote decentralised solar energy adoption in agriculture while reducing dependence on conventional power sources.
