PM Modi to Flag Off India’s First Hydrogen Train During Jind Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Jind, Haryana, where he will flag off India’s first hydrogen-powered train and inaugurate major development projects worth thousands of crores of rupees.

The launch is expected to mark a significant milestone in India’s clean transportation journey while highlighting the country’s growing capabilities in sustainable mobility and technological innovation. The hydrogen-powered train also reflects the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat by promoting the development and adoption of indigenous clean-energy technologies.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and BJP state president Archana Gupta reviewed the preparations for the event. They described the Prime Minister’s visit as an important moment in Haryana’s development journey and a major opportunity to showcase the state’s infrastructure and sustainability initiatives.

The public rally planned during the visit will be organised as an eco-friendly event. Attendees have been encouraged to use electric vehicles, e-rickshaws, CNG vehicles, bicycles and tractor-trolleys to reduce conventional fuel consumption and minimise the environmental impact of transportation.

Party workers have been assigned responsibilities related to public transport, parking arrangements, seating management and public outreach. The event will highlight India’s progress in clean mobility while drawing attention to major infrastructure and development projects across Haryana.
